Over the last century, a psychological model of man has come to the forefront and has been largely adopted by Christians as being biblical. Christians have blended pastoral counseling with secular counseling approaches. We now teach that man is first and foremost a thinking being, with his spirit seemingly centered in his thought life. If this were a positive move, we would witness good fruit. Yet, more than one hundred years later, it seems we are no better off, if not worse.
 
Becoming Lifegivers is a window to help us begin to see the spiritual side of man once again through real-life stories, both heartaches and victories, that illustrate the spiritual function of man and how to cooperate with that function to move toward victory.
 
Returning to a more accurate and biblical understanding of our creation enhances our ability to access His life and extend it to others. With a new understanding of the spiritual side of man, we are ready to take on the challenge of becoming lifegivers.
